How it works
- 1Press Start camera and allow access when your browser asks.
- 2Hold the QR code inside the view until the result appears below.
- 3Copy the text, or open the link if it is a web address.
Scanning tips
Hold the phone steady about 10 to 20 cm from a printed code, and make sure the whole code, including its white border, is in view. Glare on glossy paper or screens is the most common cause of failures; tilting slightly usually fixes it.
Why scan in the browser
Your phone's camera app already reads most QR codes. A browser-based scanner is useful on a laptop webcam, when you need to copy the raw text, or to read a code from a screenshot or a saved image.
