PDF417 vs QR code
Both are 2D barcodes with error correction. PDF417 is wide and short, which fits on the back of a card or along the bottom of a ticket or form, and it's read by the scanners used in airports, warehouses and ID checks. A QR code is square and is the better choice when people scan with their phones.
