GS1-128 Barcode Generator
Make a GS1-128 barcode, also called UCC-128 or EAN-128, for case and pallet labels. Combine a GTIN, batch number, expiry date or SSCC using application identifiers, then download a PNG or SVG.
How it works
- 1Enter each application identifier in parentheses, followed by its value.
- 2Check the text under the bars; check digits in GTIN and SSCC fields are verified.
- 3Download a PNG for label software or an SVG for print.
What GS1-128 adds to Code 128
A plain Code 128 barcode carries a string of characters with no agreed meaning. GS1-128 structures that string into fields, each starting with an application identifier, so any warehouse system can tell the product number from the batch, the expiry date or the shipment's serial container code.
Retailers and distributors in food, pharmaceuticals and general merchandise ask suppliers for GS1-128 on cases and pallets. The GTIN and SSCC numbers must come from your GS1 company prefix.
