Where Data Matrix is used
Data Matrix is the code of choice when space is tight: circuit boards and electronic components, surgical instruments, aerospace and automotive parts, and small product labels. It can be printed, etched or laser-marked directly onto metal and plastic.
Built-in error correction lets a scanner read the code even if part of it is scratched or smudged. Keep a quiet zone of at least one cell around the code.
